About Dr. Talat Jehan Khan

Dr. Talat Jehan Khan was a beloved pediatrician, a devoted mother, and a deeply respected member of her community. At 54 years old, she had dedicated her life to caring for children and supporting families through her work in medicine.

She spent 15 years serving patients at Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Seattle before moving to Texas, where she joined Texas Children’s Pediatrics in Conroe. She was known for her compassion, gentleness, and deep sense of responsibility to the families she cared for.

On October 28, 2023, Dr. Khan was brutally attacked while sitting at a picnic table near her home at the Alys Apartments in Conroe. She was stabbed multiple times in a senseless act of violence — a tragedy that left her family, patients, and community in shock and grief.

The man charged with her murder, 24-year-old Miles Joseph Fridrich, was arrested while fleeing the scene. He was indicted in January 2024 for first-degree murder, but later found incompetent to stand trial in early 2025 and ordered to receive mental health treatment.

Dr. Khan’s family continues to fight for justice in her name, calling for transparency, accountability, and public attention to ensure her death is not forgotten — and that justice is not denied.

Justice for Dr. Talat Khan is not just about a verdict! it’s about valuing her life, her legacy, and the community she served.
